Embroidery Academy

Computer Basics & Beyond

This class is in video format. You need high speed internet to download the videos. A CD of the videos will be sent to each student.

Would you like to use your computer more confidently? Are you feeling like you’re limping along and don’t have a good grasp on things and how they work?

Sometimes people try to show you and whiz through those screens so quickly you become convinced it’s hopeless and give up….

Let me help! After learning that many embroiderers faced a huge hurdle in enjoying embroidery because of never having been exposed to computers at work or in school, I decided to help by creating easy to understand, down to earth instructions to walk you through the process of how to do what you want to do. As an embroider and very down to earth person, I’ve created a no frills series of lessons that show you what things are and what they do……just like I’ve shown my friends who are a tad older than I am. I wanted to create them the way I taught my friends, like your friend is sitting next to you walking through the process. My best friend is all over her computer now doing more than she ever thought she could – and I know you can to!

If you’re struggling, this is the MOST IMPORTANT INVESTMENT YOU’LL MAKE THIS YEAR! It’s not difficult to learn. It’s just a matter of being shown and having things explained so they make sense and just what you need to know – nothing more.

These lessons are designed to be very simple to use – click & go. You’ll click on the name of the lessons and it will begin playing. The lessons play on the standard Windows set up so you don’t need anything special to use them.

I felt horrible when I attended a Sew & Quilt Expo and visited with folks attending to learn how many are struggling with the technology and understanding it. I am excited to help break it down for you so that you can get to what you want to do – play and create beautiful things.
